FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How do I register?

You can register with 5k Your Way on our website. You will also need to register with parkrun on their website, after which you can print or download your personal barcode to scan on the day!

I’m worried I won’t be able to complete 5k.

There is nothing to worry about, it's 5k YOUR Way. 5k your way is designed to go at your own pace and there is never any pressure to run. You can jog, walk, spectate, or just come along for the social aspect. There is also no pressure to complete the full 5km, do as much or as little as you like and have fun!

How do I know where to meet the 5k Your Way ambassadors?

Each group has their own unique meeting point. This can be found on our website in the specific groups section. Don’t forget to check what time to be there too! All UK parkruns start at 9am, Scotland and Ireland parkruns start at 9:30am. 5k your way usually meets 15 minutes before!

How do I contact 5k Your Way ambassadors?

Each group has a facebook page and an email address, both can be found on our website in each groups section. They will be happy to respond and give you any additional details you need.

I have limited mobility, can I still participate?

Of course! Everyone is welcome, and whatever your ability, you'll be supported to participate in the way you want. Accessiblity at each parkrun course will vary, so please check on the parkrun event of with one of Ambassadors before you come along.

Does the group do anything after?

Most groups go to a cafe for coffee and cake after, or sometimes have their own stall. Be sure to ask an ambassador before the start where they are meeting up after and enjoy your well deserved coffee and cake!

Can I bring anyone with me?

Of course! Invite your friends, family, or dogs (if allowed, as each parkrun has it's own rules on dogs) to come along with you - the more the merrier!
